Dr Okpidi holds a Phd. In Agronomy and is an expert in soil research and
palm oil cultivation. He is a former staff of
the Nigerian Institute for Oil Palm Research
(NIFOR) and a respected authority on oil palm and modern cropping
techniques.
He is a former Chairman of the Oil Palm Company
(OPC) at Ajabodudu, Delta State University Investment Company and former
head of the pre-degree program of Delta State
University (DELSU), Abraka. He is currently in charge of the Delta State
Songhai Agricultural Training Programme at
Sapele, Delta State.
