A four-member delegation of Aden River Estates Limited (AREL) was
present at the 1st Anniversary symposium of the Incorporated Society of
Planters (ISP) Africa chapter, hosted in Accra, Ghana on the 22nd to the
23rd of May 2025.

As a Gold Sponsor and Exhibitor of the event, AREL represented Nigeria and took part in networking, collaborating and exchanging ideas with its top industry peers.
The symposium included exhibitions featuring agro chemicals, fertilisers, planting materials, service providers, farm machineries, mechanisation technologies and commodities associations such as the cocoa, cashew, rubber, cassava, rice and oil palm industries.
As the Chairman of the Plantation Owners Forum of Nigeria (POFON), CEO of AREL, Mr Emmanuel Ibru gave a presentation on the Nigerian agricultural sector. The presentation touched upon points such as: climate suitability for crops, land availability and ownership models, labour force expertise and costs, current crop production capacity, potential for market access, trade in regional markets, government investment incentives and key investment opportunities.
AREL took part in a panel discussion with other African country representatives on the topics presented from Cameroon, Ghana, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.
With its membership in the ISP Africa Chapter and its participation in the 1st anniversary symposium, AREL continues to play a key role in the future development not only in empowering sustainable agriculture in Nigeria but setting and collaborating with its global peers to attain the highest standards of agricultural practices in the plantation and agribusiness sector.
